The Central Oklahoma Music Teachers: (COMTA) is an organization of certified music teachers promoting high standards of music teaching. COMTA is affiliated with the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association (OMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Oklahoma Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra: is a non-profit organization which provides group performing experience for plucked string instrument students in an orchestral setting. Free or low cost private lessons are also available for students who qualify. The orchestra meets 1st and 3rd Saturdays for practice and there is no cost to join. Tulsa Choir: Tulsa Homeschool Choir serves Tulsa and surrounding communities. Director Jana Davis Tollefson, an Oklahoma Certified music teacher who has taught in public/ private schools and maintained a private piano/voice studio over 20 years, desires in these choirs to develop young musicians for Christ who will walk in confidence, giving glory and honor to Him in their music. Preparatory, kindergarten-third grades rehearsing Thursdays 2:00-2:45 p.m., costs $60.00 per semester; Intermediate, fourth-sixth grades, rehearsing Thursdays 1-:1:45, costs $60 per semester; THC, seventh- twelfth grades rehearsing Thursdays 2:00-3:30 p.m., costs $100.00 per semester and $10 per family per year refundable music fee. Violinist/Violist Sam Formicola has spent 3 years in Europe studying and collaborating with many great musicians and is now bringing that tradition to the Oklahoma City area.

Homeschool Strings Group Lessons instructed by Karén Khanagov, who has been teaching string instruments to children for 14 years. Besides playing at the Oklahoma State capitol, the Homeschool Strings perform in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the year, in addition to Penn Square Mall and local churches, during the Christmas Season. Both homeschool children and parents, desiring to play violin, viola, cello or bass, are welcome to enroll in this group, which meets weekly, during the school year and summer.
