Dear Support Group Leaders,
You are cordially invited to the OCHEC Oklahoma Support Group Leaders' Retreat! This special event will be held on July 15-16 at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City.
Our keynote speaker this year will be Kevin Swanson of Christian Home Educators of Colorado. Kevin has 35 years of experience in the homeschooling movement and has served as Executive Director of Christian Home Educators of Colorado for the last six years. He is a published author, a homeschool father of five, and hosts a daily radio program, broadcasting across Colorado and Wyoming.
Kevin has a message all leaders will want to hear. His topics will include "The Seven Termites in Homeschool Organizations, What You Can Do to Strengthen Home Education in Your State, A New Breed of Leadership, Preserving the Heart of Homeschooling, Meeting the Changing Face of Home Education."
We will have another very special banquet on Friday evening followed by a humorous fellowship time. Kevin will speak at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Friday and also three times on Saturday. Table Talk sessions have also been planned so that leaders may glean ideas from each other.
We are looking forward to getting to know you and hope you will plan this weekend into your summer plans. You won't want to miss this opportunity to be equipped and encouraged!
