Dear Sir or Madam:
Attendance at the annual Home Educators’ Convention has increased each year for many years, with the 2012 Eastern(Tulsa) Oklahoma convention having over 725 family buying units in attendance. Oklahoma City convention was outstanding with over 1450 family buying units in attendance. Homeschooling is growing in the great state of Oklahoma by leaps and bounds as proven by the increased attendance of the 2011 conventions. The Eastern Oklahoma Homeschool Convention was up 50% with over 3200 in attendance, 25% of whom were first-timers, while the Oklahoma Homeschool Convention was attended by over 3500, 33% being first-timers. We are excited for the homeschool community growth and interest in this great form of educational excellence.
The conventions return to Tulsa on Monday, April 29, 2013 (move-in /set-up), Tuesday, April 30, and Wednesday, May 1. Oklahoma City dates are Thursday May 2, 2013 (move-in /set-up), Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4. Please take note of the dates and days as you fill out your applications.
Please note that there are separate instructions and applications for the two conventions. Please read them carefully.
The applications and brochures, with information about exhibiting at both conventions, are enclosed with this letter. Please read through the information before signing the application. Receipt of this application does not guarantee acceptance. The early deadline for publication purposes is March 1, 2013. However, OCHEC will continue selling available space after that deadline.
With this letter, we have also provided information about other advertising opportunities within the OCHEC organization. This is an excellent way to reach families year round.
OCHEC wants to help you sell your products, so we are asking for donations of gifts or gift cards to be given away between workshops to advertise your booth.
These conventions focus on the needs of the homeschool family. OCHEC is pleased to offer you this opportunity to bless the home education community in Oklahoma.
In HIS Service,
